We have contracts in place with these third parties designed to safeguard your personal information; they cannot use your personal information except as we instruct, will not share it with anyone else, and commit to protect it and retain it only for the period we instruct.

- When we use Google Maps Platform APIs. We may share your information with certain Google Maps Platform APIs (such as the Google Maps API and Places API) to retrieve information when you make location-specific requests, including your geolocation data and device location details. Google Maps uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and cell towers to estimate your location; GPS is accurate to about 20 meters, while Wi-Fi and cell towers help improve accuracy when GPS signals are weak, such as indoors. This data helps Google Maps provide directions but is not always perfectly precise. The Google Maps Platform APIs we use store and access cookies and other information on your devices. If you are located in the European Economic Area, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, or the United Kingdom, please also see our Cookie Policy.
- Business partners. We may share your information with our business partners to offer you certain products, services, or promotions.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
In short: We may use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and store your information.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to gather information when you interact with our Services. Some online tracking technologies help us maintain the security of our Services and your account, prevent crashes, fix bugs, save your preferences, and assist with basic site functions.
We also permit third parties and service providers to use online tracking technologies on our Services for analytics and advertising, including to help manage and display advertisements, tailor advertisements to your interests, or send abandoned shopping cart reminders, depending on your communication preferences. These third parties use their technology to provide advertising about products and services tailored to your interests, which may appear on our Services or on other websites.
To the extent these online tracking technologies are deemed a "sale" or "sharing" (which includes targeted advertising as defined under applicable laws) under applicable US state laws, you can opt out as described in section 12 below.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or Switzerland, these countries may not have data protection laws as comprehensive as those in your country. However, we will take all necessary measures to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable law.
European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We have implemented measures to protect your personal information, including using the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers of personal information between our group companies and between us and our third-party providers. These clauses require recipients to protect personal information originating from the EEA or UK in accordance with European data protection laws. No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period of time in which you have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it, or, if that is not possible (for example, because it has been stored in backup archives), we will securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?
In short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.
We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly access, steal, or modify your information. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk; you should only access the Services within a secure environment.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit data from, or market to children under 18 years of age (or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction), nor do we knowingly sell such personal information. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or the equivalent age as specified by law in your jurisdiction, or that you are the parent or guardian of such a minor and consent to that minor dependent's use of the Services. If we learn that personal information from users under the relevant age has been collected, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records. If you become aware of any data we may have collected from children under the relevant age, please contact us at hello@mahjongmeetup.com.
10. What Are Your Privacy Rights?
In short: Depending on your state of residence in the US or in some regions, such as the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada, you have rights that allow you greater access to and control over your personal information. You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time, depending on your country, province, or state of residence.
In some regions (like the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right to: (i) request access to and obtain a copy of your personal information; (ii) request rectification or erasure; (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information; (iv) where applicable, data portability; and (v) not be subject to automated decision-making. If a decision producing legal or similarly significant effects is made solely by automated means, we will inform you, explain the main factors, and offer a way to request human review. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. You can make such a request using the contact details in section 15.

Withdrawing your consent. If we are relying on your consent (express or implied) to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw it at any time using the contact details in section 15 or by updating your preferences. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal, nor processing carried out in reliance on lawful bases other than consent.
Account information
If you would like to review or change the information in your account, or terminate your account, you can log in to your account settings and update your account. Upon your request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and information from our active databases. 11. Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow, we will inform you in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser DNT signals. Because there is currently no industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
